look at that '#1 new release' flag!!

I’m an Amazon #1 bestselling author!…at least, #1 New Release in the fairly small category of 30-minute LGBTQ Short Reads! And #2 overall in the category! (Wonder if we can get it to #1...?) Which is still pretty darn excellent, especially since the story isn’t even quite out yet!

The story in question is “October Spice,” release date October 12 – it’s part of the JMS Hot Flash Fiction stories, all under 5k and priced at 99 cents or lower if on sale!

“October Spice” features a Halloween-loving baker, pumpkin cupcakes, and an adorable firefighter – perfect for autumn weather! You can buy it at Amazon here and help celebrate that #1-in-category status (yay! this also helps give JMS Books some visibility – awesomeness for a small indie LGBTQ+ publisher!) or buy it here from JMS directly (on sale for 79 cents right now).

*deep breath*

I’M A #1 SELLING AUTHOR ON AMAZON, YOU GUYS!

*excited flailing commences*

Fabulous! And well-deserved.

I've just purchased "Bisclavret" and haven't started reading as yet, but I wanted to say what a delightful surprise it was to have it show up on my Amazon notifications. Love the basis of the plot, and I'm now going to go plunge into it.
BTW, hoping all is well with you; it's rare to have you radio silence for so long, although I'm sure it reflects the demands of academia and pending holidays. Be well!

Bisclavret and sooo many demands!

Thank you so much for your reply! I did not mean to put another demand on you when you're so busy! [Just, "Fine but busy." would work..:-) ]It sounds hectic, I'm so glad things will calm down for you. I've finished Bisclavret, and adore it. I love the narrator's voice; your werewolf communicates such peacefulness, even while reflecting on his own trauma. And the language is engrossing; there's a sense in the rhythm and word choice of someone accustomed to very formal speech, who is being intimately informal. It's lovely, and a beautiful way to relate this love story, encompassed with magic. The world-building is wonderful; the sense of magic so pervasive in society that it's treated with a pragmatic matter-of-factness. And the wonderful description of the difference in perception, from wolf to man; vivid and colorful as an illustrated missal.. Please don't feel you have to reply to this! Would much rather think of you taking time to breathe.. Hoping you're having a wonderful weekend.
