First, free books! I’ve mentioned before how lovely my publisher JMS Books is – and here’s one more example! To help get us through these…complicated times, they’re offering 51 titles for free over on their website! Available for a week!
So if you’re in need of some happy endings, some romance, some comfort…come check them out! (The book I offered for this is Elemental, if you’d like a dark & stormy night, a first meeting, a ghost puppy, a writer with terrible writer’s block, and the adorable psychic new neighbor he falls for…)
Second, some upcoming releases now have pre-order links and cover art!
The third Extraordinary novella – with my M/M/M superhero guys: Ryan, John, and Holiday – will be released March 28 – coming up soon! Here’s the JMS Books link, where it’s currently on sale for only $2.39! I can promise some more action, some hurt/comfort (a lot of both, really!), and some tender comfort sex and taking care of each other…
And my next full-length novel – 60k! – will be out from JMS on April 11! (So close to my birthday! Come celebrate with me!) Cadence and the Pearl is one of my favorite stories – it’s the one I’ve described as…about a lot of things, including m/m romance, merpeople, enchantment, the Northern Isles, grief and healing, attractive schoolteachers, secrets, coming home again, heroes (and not being the hero), and a sort of alternate-universe seventeenth-century setting, including theater and opera. And it will come with a bonus story in which someone’s father gets his own happy ending, because fathers need love too. Here’s the link for Cadence – currently on pre-order sale for $3.99! I’m looking forward to sharing this fairytale world with you.
Stay safe, take care, and – to borrow a line – be excellent to each other! ❤

Date: 2020-03-19 05:14 pm (UTC)It's still technically spring break here, so some of the weirdness hasn't sunk in - next week, when we're starting online instruction, things will feel more different! I hope you're doing well, too - hopefully nothing too disruptive! <3
Here, want a piece of the Cadence extra bonus story? :D

Richard Carver, venturing out of his lighthouse on a cold and anxious afternoon shortly before the Queen’s arrival, did not know how to speak to his son.
Jeremiah was busy. In love, speaking to mermen and princes, organizing the future. Taking the direction of the world upon broad shoulders and delighted about it. Arm in arm with Cadence Bell, and Richard did not know how to feel about that, if he should feel anything about that. If he had the right to.
He liked his tower. His lamp. His solitary well-worn rooms and plain walls and straightforward furnishings, everything in its place.
The world made sense that way. Orderly. Not chaotic. Not demanding that he talk, be social, decipher the mysterious arcane code of emotions and expressions and conversations. Everyone seemed to know how a nod or a smile or a comment on the weather went, except for him.
He remembered he’d not locked up. The locks didn’t matter—everyone on Gull Skerrie knew everyone, and half of them murmured rumors about the strange silent tall man out on the edge of the wild—but he went back and did it anyway. Felt better. More balanced.
He adventured toward the village again. Over rocks. Along the thin grey finger of sea-scoured path. Overlooking the harbor and voiceless judgmental boats: a local or two that hadn’t gone with the fishing-fleet, a swift sleek packet-boat from the South, the bobbing low familiarity of the mainland ferry.
More people would be coming on that ferry. So many more. He could hide from them all.
He did not think he could hide from his son. He’d done that already. For too many years.
